Recommended Restaurant: Casa do Campo

The restaurant Casa do Campo lies in a beautiful converted farmhouse that dates back to 1884.  During the warmer months you can dine outdoors by candlelight under the 100 year old fig tree seen below.

100 year old Fig Tree

This restaurant is very popular with the locals and is busy during high and low seasons. The food is Algarvian and International style. Starters include their very popular Caesar salad, scallops and asparagus.  For mains the catch of the day is always superb, as is the crispy duck and their famous flambé steak.
For dessert I can never resist the profiteroles (they are sublime) or the lemon tart. Casa do Campo is very busy during high season so I strongly recommend making a reservation.
